PCM Supports Event at, ‘The Nest’ Sports Complex to Serve Special Needs Children in Newberry County

Chapin, SC (April 25, 2024) – Team Pleasurecraft recently attended a heartwarming event in collaboration with a special needs organization, “Screaming Eagles”, aimed at promoting inclusivity in sports for special needs children and adults. The event, held at the local Screaming Eagles facility, “The Nest”, was a resounding success, bringing joy and opportunities to individuals who often face barriers in accessing sports activities.

As a company deeply committed to supporting our community, Team Pleasurecraft takes pride in initiatives that make a positive impact on the lives of those in need. The support of the Screaming Eagles organization underscores our unwavering dedication to inclusivity and empowerment. Jenny Bowers, President of The Screaming Eagles, said, “We plan to grow from the core of current sporting activities with our partners to this whole life in Richmond campus. The master plan includes spaces for hands on farming, animal care, daily activity, indoor and outdoor sports camping and hiking and even tree houses for individuals of all ages and abilities.”

The event featured a soccer game for the participants, including adaptive sports equipment and specialized coaching. Through interactive games and friendly competitions, participants are able to experience the joy of sports while fostering camaraderie and teamwork. Team Pleasurecraft volunteers and staff members were on hand to provide assistance and encouragement, ensuring that every individual felt supported and valued.
