AUBURNDALE, FL (August 11, 2021) – Elite Cable Park (ECP) hosted its first-ever WWA Nautique Wake Park National Championships presented by GM Marine while Team ECP won second place in the traditional segment.

Wakeboard teams across the country competed at the national event in Auburndale. Elite Cable Park had about 50% more entries than last year’s nationals hosting around 330 riders. This popular sport had over 1,000 check-ins at ECP the week leading up to the event.

“From the beginning, we’ve been proud of our relationship with the Elite Cable Park,” said Mark Jackson, the director of Polk County Tourism and Sports Marketing. “They’ve always been a key part of our Lake Myrtle Sports Business Cluster and wins like this help us all highlight the great things being done in Auburndale.”

Aktion Parks Director of Operations, Kellan Rudnicki stated, “We were thrilled to be able to bring so many new riders and their families and friends to experience Auburndale and all that it has to offer. Congratulations to all the riders who had a successful nationals competition. To me, there are not many better places to make lifelong memories than at this prestigious event.”

Team ECP had seven podium finishes and three gold medals amongst their new team. There were also three groms (the nine and under division) that placed. Below is the list of ECP riders that placed in their respective divisions.
